MA'AT LAW

Ma'at is an ancient Egyptian goddess of Justice.
She personifies Order, Balance, Equity, Truth and Reciprocity,
ensuring such, even in the midst of chaos, injustice and social disorder.
Picture
According to Egyptian mythology, one's essence or soul would be measured against a feather of Ma'at (depicted by the feather used in place of an apostrophe) in order to see if the deceased had been righteous when alive.  If the person's soul was lighter than the feather, the soul was allowed into the afterlife.  If the soul weighs heavier than the feather, then the person is judged to have been unrighteous and undeserving of eternal life.

Thus, the logo is a symbolic acknowledgement of the law's imperfections.  This firm is clear that the legal system is inherently inequitable; it is with this understanding that we navigate through the system and work to initiate the balance needed to achieve justice.  Justice should be an objective attainment, independent of an individual's background.  Yet, justice can only be achieved when all stake-holders intentionally embody it.

This logo is a symbolic representation of Ma'at Law's commitment to embody justice during our representation as well as demanding the embodiment of justice from our opponents.   Justice is not blind, and we seek to make sure our clients are seen.   BE SEEN with MA'AT LAW.
